COACH'S CHALLENGE REVIEW!!

HELLO GUYS, I AM SUPER EXCITED TO BRING YOU MY REVIEW OF COACH'S CHALLENGE, BOOK 3 IN THE CAYUGA COUGARS SERIES BY V.L. LOCEY! AS YOU KNOW I AM A HUGE FAN OF THIS AUTHOR AND THIS SERIES (AND MY VIC OF COURSE) SO LET'S SEE WHAT I THOUGHT OF THIS ONE!!

BOY DOES THIS QUOTE FIT THIS STORY! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Coach's Challenge
Cayuga Cougars 3
by: V.L. Locey
reviewed by: Becky

Victor Kalinski and his husband, Dan Arou, are living the dream. Married for over a year now, the couple have settled into life in Cayuga surrounded by friends, family, and a team that’s poised to make another championship run. Each man is enjoying professional success as well as personal bliss. Who knew life in the suburbs with a spouse and a child could be so darn satisfying? Not Vic. K, that’s for sure.

The happy times are about to turn rough, though. The Cougars have picked up a new player, Sander March, a brash young center whose sass, skill, and attitude can rival Victor’s. When it’s revealed that this new player and Dan have history, tensions begin to rise between the newlyweds.

As Victor and Dan work on those issues, the one person Victor never thought he would meet arrives in the small New York hamlet and proceeds to flip everything in Vic’s life upside down. Can Victor and Dan’s marriage withstand what life is about to drop on it, or will the challenges be too much for them to handle?

I was beyond excited for this installment of the Cayuga Cougars series, I mean it is about Vic and Dan, who isn't excited? It lived up to my expectations and more!

Dan and Vic have been enjoying wedded bliss, and they can't imagine anything throwing a wrench in their lives together, but oh boy do they encounter a whole toolbox in this one!

Parts of both of their pasts come to light and come too close for comfort as far as Vic's concerned! Can Vic work through his feelings without closing out the person closest to him?

You will get the classic Kalinski snark in a healthy does in this one, and I love it! You will devour this book just like I did so grab it now, it is the perfect addition to this amazing series!

the 5 'Mike Furry' rating!! :P

3 HOLIDAY BOOK REVIEW POST!

HELLO FRIENDS, I HAVE A TREAT FOR YOU TODAY! THE HOLIDAYS MAY BE OVER, BUT THERE ARE STILL A TON OF GREAT BOOKS TO READ! BELOW ARE MY GIRLS AMY AND JESSICA KENNEDY'S REVIEW OF THREE BOOKS FROM THE 2017 DREAMSPINNER ADVENT CALENDAR: STOCKING STUFFERS! ENJOY THE REVIEWS OF WRECK THE HALLS, PINING FOR PERFECT, AND HOMEMADE FROM THE HEART AND GRAB THESE BOOKS TODAY!

WRECK THE HALLS: BY: JESSICA PAYSEUR

Business has been good at Paul’s CafĂ© in Madison, Wisconsin—until a few months before Christmas. When Nick opens Nick’s Restaurant next door, Paul watches his customers leave for cheaper food and an owner who smiles more. With his livelihood at stake, Paul lashes out, trying to drive away Nick’s customers, but Nick won’t go easy, and escalating sabotage threatens to ruin the holidays for both of them.
Paul thinks all he wants for Christmas is to see Nick’s Restaurant go under, but the more he tries to drive Nick away, the less he’s sure he wants him to go. Nick is everything Paul secretly craves, but by the time he realizes Nick is all he really wants for the holidays, he might have ruined any chance for them to get together. And there might not be a present in the world that can fix that.

AMY'S REVIEW:
Outside, Paul turned to apologize to Nick, only to find him shutting the door in his face

This short Christmas book has been fun to read.  Paul owns a cafe and lives above it, Nick opens a restaurant beside Paul’s and moved into the apartment above it.   Two places to eat beside each other does not bode well between the two owners.

Their antics of trying to one up each other, the anger of losing customers, the workers caught between the fighting and then there is the electricity snapping between Paul and Nick.  Will one of them go too far?  Can they forgive and finally slide between the sheets?

I give this book 4.5 stars or 4.5 Fried cheese curd  (you must read it to find out why!)

GRAB THIS BOOK FRIENDS, NOW IS AMY'S REVIEW OF PINING FOR PERFECT BY KI BRIGHTLY!

Stokely leads a solitary life, trying to do all the right things. He has a solid, respectable job, a properly decorated, respectable apartment, and goes to work every single day, no matter what. But it’s Christmas, and he hates Christmas, especially since his one guilty pleasure, listening to Asher Banks on the radio, is ruined with upbeat, holiday garbage.
Asher is the polar opposite—he loves Christmas to a fault and schedules himself into the ground with fundraisers to help the local community. When Asher and Stokely meet during one of the holiday spectacles Asher has thrown together, sparks fly, but neither one of them has ever had a real Christmas—or a real home. Will they be able to make one with each other?

AMY'S REVIEW:

This short holiday story was a nice little read! Asher is a DJ and goes over and beyond trying to pass the Christmas cheer and to help others, especially those kids who live in foster care.   He’s been there before and knows how that feels.

Stokely loves listening to Asher on the radio except when the Christmas Caroles are played all the time. Stokely grew up with foster families and the experience was not a good one.  Christmas is nothing to celebrate

Each will have to put their insecurities behind them and move forward to be together.  Can Stokely love Christmas as much as Asher, maybe with the right person he can

I give this book 4 stars or 4 shaving mirrors!!

SOUNDS GREAT RIGHT? GRAB IT ABOVE! LET'S CHECK OUT THE FINAL BOOK IN OUR 3 BOOK REVIEW POST RIGHT NOW!

JESSICA KENNEDY REVIEWS: HOMEMADE FROM THE HEART BY BRU BAKER!

Craft store owner Grant has always been a sucker for a pretty face, and that goes double for a pretty face with an adorable sidekick. When seven-year-old Aubrey has her heart set on taking Grant’s already-full holiday craft series, he caves and gives up his one day off a week so she (and her hot guardian, Josh) can take private lessons. Their flirting ramps up week after week, and even though Josh isn’t with Aubrey’s mother, Grant can’t be sure the man isn’t straight. Maybe he’s just being friendly. And Josh, who most definitely is not straight, is afraid of being the creepy guy hitting on the teacher.
Frustrated by their stubbornness and cluelessness, Aubrey takes matters into her own hands. She decides the best gift to give Josh is something homemade and from the heart—a boyfriend they’ll both love.

JESS'S REVIEW:

Grant is overloaded with holiday projects at his store Make and Take, so much so he's had to turn away customers. That is until the gorgeous Josh walks in with sweet Audrey wanting to take the already full holiday craft classes. Grant may be tired, overbooked and overworked, but that doesn't stop him from offering private lessons to the sweet kid. Josh and Grant flirt more and more, but Grant is sure that's all it will be with the supposedly straight Josh.... until a holiday miracle happens in the form of a sweet and determined Audrey. This book had me LOL'ING more than once and I couldn't have adored it more! This book was a great quirky, happy holiday pick me up. You must read this, I practically demand it!

the 5 hand knit scarf rating for this book!

A Snowy Ball
When Skies Have Fallen 1.5
by: Debbie Mcgowan
reviewed by: Becky

Published: 19th December, 2017
Length: 14,000 words (63 pages) approx.

London: December, 1981. A White Christmas is on the cards, but as the temperature drops, the pressure on Arty mounts. He's got far too much planned in the coming days to have it all buried under a mountain of snow.

Between his retirement surprise for Jim and the Christmas party at the dance school, Arty might need to curtail his daydreaming a little to ensure everything comes together. Still, if all else fails, at least he and Jim have each other to keep them warm through the impending blizzard.

Note: this story follows on from When Skies Have Fallen and as such contains spoilers for anyone who has not read the novel.

I am over the moon to be able to catch up with Arty and Jim and all of their loved ones, a Holiday book about these two was a total surprise and oh so amazing!

Arty and Jim have grown older and settled into their lives together, when the story starts they are about to celebrate Jim's retirement, and another surprise Arty has up his sleeve!

We follow these two as they celebrate the season and their love for each other, and this is a Holiday read that you don't want to miss if you have read the LAMMY award winning When Skies Have Fallen!

HOLIDAY BOOK REVIEW BLITZ: JESS REVIEWS RED POPCORN STRINGS AND GUMBALL RINGS

WOO HOO FRIENDS, I AM SO EXCITED TO BRING YOU GUYS JESS KENNEDY'S REVIEW OF RED POPCORN STRINGS AND GUMBALL RINGS BY NELL IRIS! THIS SWEET LITTLE STORY IS PART OF THE DREAMSPINNER ADVENT CALENDAR: STOCKING STUFFERS AND YOU WILL LOVE IT!

I AM SO IN LOVE WITH THIS QUOTE IT IS NOW ONE OF MY FAVES! HERE IS JESS'S REVIEW:

Red Popcorn Strings & Gumball Rings
by Nell Iris
Dreamspinner Advent Calendar: Stocking Stuffers
reviewed by: Jess Kennedy

Christmas is coming, and young couple Casey and Ellis are very much in love. Unfortunately, they’re also the definition of dirt poor, and they don’t have the money for nonessentials like decorations. Or a turkey. Or gifts. Between the recent death of Casey’s beloved momma and Ellis’s estrangement from his family, all they have is each other.
When Ellis finds the saddest-looking Christmas tree south of the Mason-Dixon Line thrown away outside his workplace and brings it home to Casey, things look up. Life is still a struggle, but wealth isn’t always measured in money, and what seems worthless to others is often invaluable to the people who love it.

Ellis and Casey are spending their first Christmas together without Casey's mom. Money is tight, but there is plenty of love between the two.
With the days until Christmas winding down, these two lovers get many sweet and much needed holiday surprises.
This was a short, but completely sexy and sweet holiday read I would definitely recommend to others.

the 5 gumball ring rating :P

SUCCUMBING TO HIS FEAR REVIEW!

HEY GUYS! TODAY I AM HERE WITH MY REVIEW OF SUCCUMBING TO HIS FEAR: THE LIVING ART SERIES BOOK 1 BY RIVER MITCHELL! I FREAKING LOVE THIS SERIES AND I CAN'T WAIT TO BRING YOU MY REVIEWS OF ALL THREE BOOK IN THIS SERIES SO FAR! LET'S TAKE A LOOK:

OH BOY DOES THIS QUOTE APPLIES TO BOTH FEAR AND ALFIE! HERE IS MY REVIEW:

Succumbing To His Fear
The Living Art Series #1
by: River Mitchell
reviewed by: Becky

A life-changing event leaves Alfie the guardian to two children; it also becomes the catalyst that leads him to discover that everything he thought he knows about himself is catastrophically wrong.

All it took was a chance meeting and a drunken night to turn his world upside down.

Fear wasn’t looking for anyone, content to stick with his monotonous routine of one-night stands and random hook-ups. He purposely keeps everyone but his family at arm’s length, never wanting an outsider to get to close. But when Alfie and his adopted children come crashing into his life, all Fear’s rules are quickly forgotten.

While the two men struggle with all aspects of their life and budding relationship, the arrival of an unknown element determined to destroy them and their newfound happiness throws everything in to turmoil.

Will they survive the whirlwind of devastation or will they crumble under the weight left in its wake?

It is really rare that I have a book speak to me on as many levels as this one did, and man did I enjoy every second of it!

Alfie has had his life turned upside down and his head is still spinning when he runs into a group of guys that have a tattoo parlor, one of them really turns him on, but that will never happen right?

Fear can't get Alfie out of his head and all he wants to do is help him, (well maybe not ALL he wants to do :P) but will Alfie let him? What happens when their world is flipped upside down? Will the feelings these two have for each other be enough to weather the storm?

The supporting cast in these books are amazing and you will laugh at Alfie and his mom so many times you will lose count! Grab this book right now, and get started on a journey you won't want to end!

                                              the 5 nugget rating :P

GRACE REVIEWS O HELL ALL YE SHOPPERS!

HEY FRIENDS! DAY 10 OF OUR HOLIDAY BOOK REVIEW BLITZ IS ALL ABOUT GRACE AND HER REVIEW OF O HELL ALL YE SHOPPERS BY LOUISA MASTERS! THIS IS A SHORT FROM THE DREAMSPINNER 2017 ADVENT CALENDAR: STOCKING STUFFERS! LET'S TAKE A LOOK:

BOY ISN'T THIS QUOTE THE TRUTH! HERE IS GRACE'S REVIEW!

O Hell All Ye Shoppers
by: Louisa Masters
Dreamspinner Stocking Stuffers Advent Calendar
reviewed by: Grace

Ethan Hall plans to fill Saturday, December 23, with junk food and bad TV, a day just for him amid the holiday chaos… until his baby sister calls and begs him to go collect a present for her. At the biggest shopping center in Australia. On the busiest shopping day of the year. Hell no. Right?
Ethan’s soft heart gets the best of him. He battles through the parking lot, and in the main shopping concourse, he’s trampled, elbowed, and bombarded with terrible holiday music. Then he enters hell itself, a specialty store aimed at women… where he meets Ty. They bond in a sea of estrogen and manic shoppers, fighting together to attain freedom, only to find they’re not quite ready go their separate ways.

This is a very sweet story of the 'meet cute' of Ethan and Ty.  Brought together unknowingly by their sister and Mom, they meet on Christmas Eve Eve at the mall of all places.  After hours at the bar and pizza, bad movies and some make out time, what's next?  With it Christmas Eve and Day, how can they work around their already crazy schedule to see each other again?  Why, it's a meet the folks on Christmas, of course!

Even with it being a short novella, this book made me fall for Ethan and Ty.  They are both sweet and very loveable and I hope we get to see more of them in the future.  Hint hint Louisa!!

It's a 4 Last Minute Crazy Christmas Shopper Rating!

THIS QUOTE IS SO TRUE! HERE IS AMY'S REVIEW!

Holeshot Christmas
by: Lynn Michaels
reviewed by: Amy

Christmas isn’t all race tracks and dirt bikes for Davey and Tyler, especially when they don’t see things about each other in quite the same way.

I am so happy to have read this book!  I love Davey and Tyler, so I was stoked to see a holiday book this year!!!

Davey and Tyler are now married and getting ready to celebrate Christmas together.  But first they are away to scout new talent for their race team.   Insecurities and jealousy crash into this happy couple even when they both know how much love is between them.

Through the holidays we see Davey and Tyler struggle with the thought of not being good enough, each for different reasons.  They really need to talk and work on communication to get through this rough patch.

Make sure you grab this one December 1st for a fun with moments of sexy and serious talks for this holiday season!!

I give this book 5 stars or more festive 5 Superman Jammies!  You’ll see why when you read A Holeshot Christmas!!

HAHA I LOVE THIS RATING! IF YOU ARE A FAN OF THIS SERIES LIKE AMY AND I ARE, THEN YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK! GRAB IT BELOW

HOLIDAY BOOK REVIEW BLITZ DAY 8: AMY REVIEWS NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS!

HEY FRIENDS, IT'S DAY 8 OF OUR HOLIDAY BOOK REVIEW BLITZ AND TODAY IT'S AMY'S TURN, SHE IS REVIEWING NOT JUST FOR CHRISTMAS BY ANNABELLE JACOBS SO LET'S TAKE A LOOK!

THIS QUOTE IS SO TRUE! HERE IS AMY'S REVIEW:

Not Just For Christmas
by: Annabelle Jacobs
reviewed by: Amy

Ben has Christmas, cats, and mistletoe on his side…. Jason doesn’t stand a chance

For Ben Slater, moving back to Bristol means being closer to his family, living with his best mate, and volunteering at the local animal shelter. But there’s also Jason, his best mate’s eldest brother. Ben’s had a crush on Jason for as long as he can remember, but the eleven-year age gap has always seemed insurmountable.

Jason Armitage works as a vet at his uncle’s practice. He owns a cute cottage on the outskirts of the city, and a loving dog. The one thing missing is someone to share it all with. His brother’s best friend seems a bad choice, but Jason can’t help taking a second look. Ben’s changed a lot since Jason last saw him; both in appearance and attitude. Gone is the shy young boy, replaced with a confident, twenty-four-year-old man.

In the run up to Christmas, the festive period gives Ben the ideal opportunity to show Jason what he has to offer. But concerns for his brother’s feelings hold Jason back. If they have any chance of making this work, Ben must convince Jason that he’s old enough to know what he wants, and Jason needs to believe that a relationship with his brother’s best friend won’t ruin their friendship.

This is a wonderful holiday story!!  I could not put it down!!  Ben has been best friends with Liam for years, they are like brothers.   It’s Liam’s much older brother Jason, that Ben has crushed on forever but thinking it would never happen.

Ben moves back to town and has time off before he starts his new job, time to volunteer at the animal shelter.  Jason is a vet, and taking care of animals is what he loves to do.   When Ben and Liam bring in a kitten that has been hit by a car, things start to change for Jason and Ben.   Maybe being older isn’t a big deal.  What will Liam think of his best friend and brother dating?   Christmas is the time for special magic to happen and a little mistletoe might help too!!

This book is definite 5 stars or 5 black kittens with white paws!!!   It has all the makings of a sweet holiday love story, funny and Christmasy!!  Definitely grab this one for a night by the tree!

HAHA GREAT REVIEW AMY, AND I LOVE THIS RATING! GRAB THE BOOK BELOW GUYS, YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO READ IT NOW!
